i only stayed there for a day, than i traveled to germany to spend easter with my wife, my son and my parents.
i was so exited to come home that i might have been a little to blue eyed to realize that there s more work for me waiting as in the office.
shortly before i left qatar, it turned out that i have to go again for additional four weeks to support our customer on site. that mans i have only three weeks to spend with my family, which is not really enough when you have been so long away from your wife and your five month old baby.
it also means that everything that we had planed to do when i returned from qatar, will be compressed into three weeks.
things like, going to lucern, buying new carpet for the living room, going on a huge shopping trip in spreitenbach, and to meet friends again.
all of this have to wait, again! it is now since the start of the project in qatar always the same situation, you have to take all your time for the project, but your "private projects" keep pending and pending, or have to be done in the shortest time you can think of.
means holidays for us never turn out to be holidays, it is always stress.
and the stress is on all sides, it is stress for colin, because he has to adjust that this crazy person called daddy is back again. also he has to adjust that it goes from germany to switzerland again and this all despite his ongoing tummy problems.
than the stress is with russel, because things that needs to be done for her, become that urgent. also there is still the language barrier, because through all my traveling she was not able to visit a language course to learn german. the more i am impressed that she improved her german skills so much during the two month in germany (proud hubby)
and there is also the stress for myself. happy to be back with my loved ones, but with the tought in the back of my mind that i have to leave soon again.
than you try to make everything within this three weeks that you have together.
and there is even when you have holidays the project. like today when they called from qatar at 07:00 in the morning to ask a simple question. sometimes i really hate my mobile phone.
but even if it is a very annoying situation to be away so often and for so long, it has one positive effect to it, you learn that no money in the world can bring you back the time that you have been away from your loved ones.
it was the first blogging since month for me, and writing this few paragraphs was really a relief and i really should do this more often, especially when i am back in qatar :-)
