kangaroo papa :)

when you are a father of a very curios five month old son, than you have to be a little bit creative, how you organize you work to get it done.
today i was supposed to organize my home office. my sweety was about to start cleaning the bedroom, but we also have to take care of our son colin, who wants to be anything but in the center of the action.
if we would try to leave him in his crib to play with his mobile or stuffed toys, he would start to complain right away.
so someone must take care of him, because he needs to be in the center of the action, rather in the bedroom with mama, or with papa in the office.

we first tried the stroller with the baby carrier, so that mama can move him around while cleaning, but colin did not like this solution so much.
especially when mama was about to go to the basement to take care of the laundry, the stroller with the carrier war than no solution at all for our son, so we heard a lot of complaining out of the carrier.

so mama went of for the laundry and papa needed to be creative with organizing the office and taking care of colin.
so simple solution :) russel has bought in germany a chicco baby carrier in which you can place the baby front facing.
it looks than as if papa is a kangaroo but is is effective :)
colin likes this carrier, we take a lot of walks with him when he is placed there, that this is the greates for a curios baby like him.
he feels also so comfortable in that thing that he often falls asleep in it when we are outside.

but today this thing did a very well job inside the house. colin was placed there, was than direct with papa in the action, has everything under "control" and was a happy baby :)
and it was also a lot of fun for papa. colin was with me, russel could take care of the laundry and the bedroom and i was able to do my work and i could do it my way.

when i do office work, i need to have music with me, normally over mp3, sunbird or youtube. today it was youtube, i activated the playlists of paramore and tool. colin like paramore, he even fell asleep a few days ago, so he was comfortable with this choice today, but for my surprise, he was more into tool today.
tool is one of my favorite bands, so i was very proud that colin liked them so much today :) especialy after this two month in germany, were oma and opa were mostly listening to traditional german music.
so i think it was good for coiln today to get in touch with good music :D

colin was after his "work" really tired and he fell very fast asleep after russel took him from me. so all in all, a very happy and efficient family day :)
